Monday 26 April: Monday is a normal school day we will not be closed.
Reports: We make use of the SASAMS (South African Schools Administration Management System) which is maintained by the Department of Basic Education. We are waiting for a patch to update this system so that we can issue reports. As soon as we know when this will be we will notify you.
Charity: This term we will be supporting the soup kitchen at Horison Methodist church. The wish list item for this week is packets of soup.
We will also be putting together “Jars of Hope” which consist of the following;
- Half a cup of rice
- Half a cup of dry soup mix 4-in-1 (see picture) – any brand
- Half a cup of Lentils
- One unwrapped stock cube
- One packet of instant soup mix
These ingredients are put into an empty 200-gram jar, all that needs to be added and is boiling water. One of these jars is able to feed up to four people; this may not seem like much – but to a person who does not know where their next meal is coming from, it could give them hope for another day.
If you would like to contribute you are welcome to send packets of the above ingredients, or already assembled Jars of Hope. We also need empty 200-gram jars.
Clothing Orders: Next order date is 15 May. Please remember payment for clothing is strictly COD. Parents will need to make an arrangement to come to the office to try on uniform so that you can be assured that you are ordering the correct sizes.
Uniform Inspection: Uniform inspection will be done tomorrow, please refer to your child’s communication book (gr R to 3) and diary (gr 4 to 7) for uniform details and ensure that they are wearing the correct uniform.
