Winter Uniform:  After uniform inspection last week we found that many learners are wearing their turquoise golf shirts. This is not part of winter uniform learners should be wearing their long sleeve winter shirts. If you need to place an order, please see the order form attached. Learners may only wear plain black or white shoes and white socks. If your children’s uniform items are not labelled, it is difficult to return lost items to the correct owners

Bakers day Next Friday is bakers day (27 May) and will be hosted by the grade 3 and 6 classes. Please allow your children to bring some pocket money. Funds raised will be used towards new readers for the foundation phase learners.

Stationery: Please ensure that your child has the stationery that they need. There are some items that need to be replenished during the year, such as glue and pens.  It helps if learners have a small pencil bag with the basics (blue pen, pencil, eraser, glue, scissors) and a ruler, that they can keep on their desks. Other items such as crayons, high lighters can be kept in a bigger bag for when they need them. As per covid restrictions learners may not borrow or lend stationery from each other.

Registration 2023: Grade R and Grade 1 registrations for 2023 are open. Please let friends and family know. Should you need application forms for younger siblings please contact the office.

School times we have noted that there are many children who are habitually late for school. Learners who are late will be issued with 5 demerit points – please remember after 20 points the child will sit detention.

It has also been noted that many children are fetched very late. There will be a fine of R50 per half hour that the learners are picked up late. We do understand that there are exceptional circumstances from time to time – if there is a problem getting the children to school or fetching them in the afternoon, please notify us as soon as possible.
